Ratio Formula

Following is the ratio formula that shows how to calculate ratio of two numbers,
A:B = C:D.
To find D, when A, B and C are givin, we use
D = B*C/A
For example, to find the ratio for 3:4 = 6:D,
D = 4*6/3 = 24/3 = 8 or 3:4 = 6:8

To find C when A, B and D are given.
C = D*A/B
For example, to find ratio for 2:5 = C:10,
C = 10*2/5 = 4 or 2:5 = 4:10
