How to calculate employee turnover ratio?

Let's look at an example of how to calculate the employee turnover rate of a company. Let's say there are 500 employees in a company, and 33 employees left in the past 12 months.

To find out the employee turnover rate of this company, we plugin the above formula

TR = L / T
TR = 33 / 500
TR = 0.066 or 6.6%
Therefore, the employee turnover rate of the company is 6.6%.
